The Salon Software is optimized for running a Digital Exhibition. It is highly efficient when judging a large number of images. The entrants fill out a web-based entry form. It produces electronic report cards and mailing labels.
The ClubViewer software is optimized for club or interclub use. The competition director must maintain a "maker's list" of potential entrants. However, once this list is made, compiling the images for a competition is very easy. The benefit to the entrants is that they are not required to fill out a entry form for each competition. A member code and the image title is embedded in the filename of each image.
